In addition to creating physical things, present-day designers deal with software solutions and digital technologies. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.interaction-design.org\/literature\/topics\/ux-design\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">User<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0experience<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0(UX)\u00a0and user\u00a0interface\u00a0(UI) designers\u00a0are\u00a0among the\u00a0latest\u00a0to appear and\u00a0the\u00a0most\u00a0perspective professions. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The\u00a0majority\u00a0of\u00a0people\u00a0on\u00a0the\u00a0planet\u00a0can&#8217;t\u00a0imagine their lives without the internet. Moreover, they want to use web resources that are easy to navigate and\u00a0look\u00a0nice.\u00a0That\u2019s what UI\/UX designers\u00a0take\u00a0care of.\u00a0They\u00a0deal\u00a0with\u00a0web\u00a0platforms and apps, making them user-friendly and visually pleasant. How to become a UI designer is a question bothering many young people. Let\u2019s try to figure out the basic nuances.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>UI principles &amp; process<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before you start designing, it is significant to learn how it all functions. Creativity isn\u2019t the defining factor. Things like composition, psychology,\u00a0analysis of different cases (both successful and not) matter equally much.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vexels.com\/blog\/the-ultimate-guide-to-design-templates\/\"><strong>Read more about creating unique UI Designs using Design Templates here.\u00a0<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Start with the basic principles to keep in mind: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><i>Color<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013\u00a0fundamentals and psychology. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><i>Balance<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013\u00a0symmetry &amp; asymmetry. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><i>Contrast<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013\u00a0organizing information, building hierarchy, creating focus. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><i>Typography<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013\u00a0choosing fonts for a readable text. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><i>Consistency<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013\u00a0creating intuitive and usable interfaces. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With time, all these\u00a0moments\u00a0will become logical rules. You&#8217;ll start to follow those principles intuitively after some practice. It reminds using works by custom writing services as examples: many students, who start writing excellent essays on the sophomore year and later on, often start with the question &#8220;Can I pay for research paper&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Back to designing process, you need to remember the &#8220;four D&#8221; rule: <\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><i>Discover. <\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Start researching, getting inspired, collecting ideas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><i>Define. <\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Define an idea extracted from the previous phase to create a clear brief. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><i>Develop.<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Create solutions or concepts, proceed to prototypes and tests, refine your ideas through trial and error.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><i>Deliver. <\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finalized, produce, and launch the product.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><b>Step-by-step guide<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is no single correct strategy for becoming a UI designer. Here are the basic steps to your dream job. It doesn\u2019t mean you need to follow everything blindly. Change the sequence if you want, just try not to miss anything important. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Step 1. Understand the direction. <\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you like to work with the experience part, it is UX. If you prefer visual part, this is UI. If you cannot choose one, go with product design that combines both. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Step 2. Study.<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Find out about the differences between various software solutions \u2013\u00a0Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, etc. Learn to work in some.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Step 3. Get surrounded by design.<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Look at other people\u2019s work of portfolio platforms \u2013\u00a0Behance, Dribbble, Awwwards. It helps to stay aware of fashion trends, and find inspiration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Step 4. Read. <\/i><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fromdev.com\/2018\/07\/best-books-about-web-design-of-all-times.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Books on design<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are collections of experiences. Take\u00a0a course. <\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you are more comfortable with digging into the new profession at home, watching YouTube videos. If you need a proper environment and have an opportunity, take a class course! <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Step 6. Watch and copy\u00a0others. <\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Start repeating and copying sites you like. Just sit down, choose a website, and copy it entirely. Look at it as a lesson, not a sample for your portfolio.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Step 7. Work on some projects that are not quite true. <\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Try creating a portfolio in Sketch. After that, redesign something. Come up with a project of your own and improve it. Come up with ideas that can help solve certain problems that may have to do something with what you are aiming to work with in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Step 8. A little bit of mentoring. <\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Find a fellow designer with relevant experience. Ask to review your projects, provide feedback, and suggest improvements. People will share tips and tricks they gained from their experience. This is an effective practice recommended even by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.udacity.com\/u\/content\/how-become-ux-designer\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Udacity<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Step 9. Use different resources.<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> You can find a great number of valuable websites that are full of numerous logos, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vexels.com\/icon-graphics\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">icons<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and other necessary things that you should use in your work.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Drawing line<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Take a break whenever you feel like you&#8217;ve hit a wall. At a certain point, you might start feeling confused, defeated and overwhelmed, or everything all at once. But don\u2019t to be too hard on yourself. Give yourself a reward for all the work and effort you have put into what you truly love and care for. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spend time getting inspired. Good ideas don\u2019t come from nowhere. All of them are the synthesis of your experiences, impressions, memories. Learn to draw parallels and reconsider everything around you. Note all ideas that come to your mind. You might not know what to do with them at the moment, but you can find something great later.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Being a UI designer is not an easy job.
